The STEMI Committee consists of representatives from EMS agencies, hospital systems and our regional cardiac care centers.  This committee is responsible for reviewing the prehospital cardiac and STEMI treatment practices within the region, coordinating with the regional cardiac care centers and reviewing/revising the PEMS Region STEMI Plan annually.  It assists other committees by reviewing best practices in cardiac care and providing input regarding regional cardiac patient care protocols.  The STEMI Committee also works with the Virginia Heart Attack Coalition (VHAC) to coordinate cardiac care education and training consistently throughout the region.
